Subacute combined degeneration of spinal cord is a neurodegenerative disease caused by vitamin B12 deficiency. Its clinical manifestations are deep sensory loss, sensory ataxia and spastic paralysis caused by posterior and lateral cord damage of spinal cord, often accompanied by peripheral sensory impairment caused by peripheral nerve damage.
