Rheumatic anemia

Rheumatism, also known as connective tissue disease, is commonly characterized by anemia. About half of the patients have mild or moderate anemia in the course of the disease. Most of them are chronic anemia, and a few are autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA).
