Respiratory bronchiolitis interstitial lung disease

Respiratory bronchiolitis interstitial lung disease (RBILD) was recognized in the early 1980s. All patients were smokers or former smokers. It was initially considered to be a disease similar to desquamate interstitial pneumonia in pathology; But now it is considered that RBILD and dip are the manifestations of different severity of small airway and lung parenchyma injury caused by smoking, that is, two different outcomes of the same disease; It even advocates replacing dip with RBILD. There is still disagreement on this.
