Hypoparathyroidism

Hypoparathyroidism, abbreviated as parathyroidism, is a clinical syndrome with reduced secretion and / or dysfunction of parathyroid hormone (PTH). In clinical practice, the common ones are idiopathic parathyroidism, secondary parathyroidism, hypomagnesemia and neonatal parathyroidism, and the other rare ones include pseudoparathyroidism, pseudopseudopseudoparathyroidism, pseudoidiopathic parathyroidism and so on. The manifestations were increased neuromuscular excitability, hypocalcemia, hyperphosphatemia and decreased or undetectable serum PTH. This disease can also be caused by the defective response of target cells to PTH, which is called pseudohypoparathyroidism.
