Giant cell arteritis (GCA), also known as temporal arteritis, cranial arteritis or granulomatous arteritis, is a kind of unexplained systemic vasculitis. It mainly involves the carotid artery of vascular system and medium-sized extracranial artery (superficial temporal artery, spinal artery, ophthalmic artery, etc.).
